LET THE TESTING COMMENCE. Storms blood is on the way to the lab, and I should know if shes pregnant or not by Friday. I did the draw myself, and it was not without incident. Not for the first time, I lament that I cannot duplicate myself, even if only momentarily. I HOPE its enough blood to do the pregnancy test and the CAE testing. It would really, really suck if it werent. Poor Storm has put up with a lot being my experimental pin cushion, and Im sure shed like to be done with it. And, I got Storm pee. I GOT STORM PEE!!! Im excited because its not so easy to capture goat urine as one might suppose, and to capture it from a specific goat is all the more challenging. I can now, finally and just in time, try the old-timey home pregnancy tests (bleach, Pine Sol, and toothpaste), just in time to get the real results from the lab. There are many sites which give instructions for these tests, with varying degrees of specificity. Ive been trying to get as specific as possible, to maximise results. One site (of the many) specified morning pee, so I waited and waited and waited and finally caught Storm morning pee. Better yet, I think I got enough for all three tests. The mad sciencing will commence this afternoon!! I need to get it in before my foot surgery tomorrow, after which I shall be recumbent. I will also need a little more control pee, although I may go ahead with Storms in the interest of time. Place yer bets!
