They are no-bake but you need to toast the coconut flakes first or you can purchase already toasted coconut flakes. If thats the case, ignore step 1 INGREDIENTS: 1 cup unsweetened coconut flakes 1/3 cup dry roasted and salted macadamia nuts 10 large medjool dates DO THIS: 1. Preheat oven to 30. Toast the coconut flakes in a single layer on a parchment lined rimmed pan for 3 to 5 minutes until golden brown. Cool the flakes. 2. Process the macadamia nuts in a food processor until finely chopped (if you go too far, youll end up with nut butter). Transfer the chopped nuts to a bowl 3. Put the dares into the now empty processor and process to form a sticky ball. Add the cooled toasted coconut flakes and pulse until the mixture holds together when you squeeze it between your fingers. Be careful not to pulverize the coconut flakes. You dont want to puree them. 4. Transfer the date mixture to the bowl with the chopped nuts and combine thoroughly (the result should b e a loose sticky mass). Using your hands for it all into a ball. 5. Place the ball between two sheets of parchment paper and flatten it with either your hands, a rolling pin or a heavy book to about 1/3 thick. Remove the top piece of parchment paper and form into a square. Cut into equal sized bars. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days but I doubt theyll last that long
