LIFE ON OUR NUT FARM – HOMECOMINGS and the HOUSE is FULL! Anticipation all day…Will she make her connection in Chicago…What ferry will they be on. Our daughter Adrienne called from the Windy City just landed from Dublin, Ireland, now traveling from the International Terminal to another for her flight to Seattle. Seeing the caller ID, I jumped up and down, calling to Michael that Adrienne was back in the USA! I welcomed her home, thrilled to hear her voice so much closer. Knowing in about eight hours, she would be home, back on Whidbey Island! Michael departed for the next ferry to the mainland. He went to a couple stores, including Costco, finishing his Christmas shopping, and a little of mine! Soon, he headed to Seattle Tacoma International Airport, awaiting our daughter’s plane. On time, eventually her luggage arrived, and they headed home north on the I-5. In the meantime, I finished some business e-mails, cleaning in Adrienne’s room, and a little more holiday decorating. I drove to the ferry terminal in Clinton, WA, and parked near the dock. Quickly put $2.00 in the box, for stall #11, and headed to the dock. It was dark, cold and windy, my scarf almost blowing off. After the cars unloaded, I walked on the ferryboat, heading to Mukilteo. I went upstairs, sat down and called my older brother Paul. He and Cheryl are at their home in Riverside, CA for the winter. However, we may see them soon! As the vessel was docking, two women asked if they could follow me – they were lost – trying to find the car deck to disembark. We chatted while walking off the ferry the sisters are both artists. I was greeted by, my son Alexander, daughter-in-law, Jamie, and granddaughter’s, Nicole and Roslyn! They had already purchased our tickets for the return trip, hugs and kisses, the three of us went through the turn style. Nicole carried her backpack, and Roslyn’s car seat. I rolled Roslyn’s Pink Sparkle, Minnie Mouse suitcase, carried my purse, and held Roslyn’s hand. Roslyn carried her little stuffed Elephant. Back down the ramp to the same ferryboat, I had just gotten off. It was a pleasant crossing. We walked off the ferryboat and went to Dairy Queen. Nicole ordered a hamburger, Roslyn, Chicken Nuggets, and I had a healthy salad. We all had French Fries – Delicious! Back home, Nicole, was our new housekeeper, and began helping me clean. First, back to Adrienne’s bedroom, Nicole made her bed, and polished furniture. The room sparkled! At 9:45 PM I opened our front door, Adrienne and Michael were coming down the walkway! Wow, it is Great to see and hug my daughter! All our girls are asleep; I am Super Excited to walk up in the morning to our Full House! We have many activities planned! Much Love and Blessings from Our Nut Farm. December 19, 2014
