LIFE ON OUR NUT FARM – SPIDER WEBS Beautiful and glistening with the morning dew, they are everywhere, spider webs attached to every corner outside the house. Stretching between fence posts, roofs, bushes, flowers, and trees, some webs are three feet wide. In the morning, as the dogs run into the kennel, I am careful, holding the shovel and scooper. I use them to remove the spider webs from my path. Even more careful, watching which direction the spiders are going! They are huge! Approach gates with caution, large spiders guard these with gusto! The sun broke through the thick, damp fog today at 4:00 PM the spider webs were aglow! I had a couple photo shoots in mind, determined to do them; a small window of daylight remained. I quickly gathered my props. Colander, scissors and out to the grape arbor, a magical place I will tell you about soon. Moving the vines, bending down to slip in, I stood up inside. I know the feeling so well…Spider Web in my hair. First thought, “Where is the spider?” I quickly dropped the colander and scissors, running my hands through my hair. I have done this so many times! Soon, I felt that spider…crawling down my neck… Many Blessings from Our Nut Farm.
