LIPOSPHERIC VITAMIN C… is absorbed by the gut very well. SOLUBILITY Actually Liposperic anything would likely be carried into the blood stream from the gut because like dissolves like. Vitamin C is actually a water soluble vitamin but when encapsulated in the center of a lipid bubble [lipid sphere] it gets carried through the gut membrane easier because of its solubility and is also protected from the stomachs acidity. The stomach is very acidic and the Vitamin C is also acidic and this is likely why some people complain that taking water soluble forms of Vitamin C bothers their stomach. CELL MEMBRANES They Lypo-spheres are made up of essential phospholipids, and this too is good for our cells since essential phospholipids are needed to make up our cell membranes.
