LOOK NOT BEHIND THEE...! A woman was favoured to escape from a city that was about to be destroyed, due to the urgent order given to her husband! They were also given a warning: Look not behind thee...lest thou be consumed. But alas, this woman disobeyed! Though she was out of the city physically, but because HER HEART WAS STILL IN THE CITY; she looked back! She escaped from being destroyed with the city but didnt get to the desired destination; she was consumed on the way!!! And I say to us all too: Look not behind thee...lest thou be consumed. (Genesis 19:17). Funmibi (put your name): Is your heart still right with God or youve pitched the tent of your heart with the world? Sometime ago, I was pondering on the state of the church; and said: If the way our churches are always filled with thousands of so-called believers on Sundays, is the same way all our hearts are right with God, we should expect nothing less that revival fire burning in every nook and cranny of our nation today! Even the large number of workers we have in our churches alone, are enough to bring down Gods power in our midst; BUT its a pity, that even many workers hearts are not right with God; still entangled with the world, though physically present in the church! Many are still pursuing the fashions, passions, entertainment of this world! Ah, the church is indeed sleeping spiritually; the altar is cold, and the devil has crept in and sowed tares! Many believers have left their duty post...what a pity!!! The house of God thats meant to be a no-go area for the powers of darkness to thrive, has now become a place where they thrive and even rule freely...what a shame!!! Believers are sleeping; theyve left their first love, many have melted away! The Bridegroom weeps for the number of souls dancing to hell daily with no one to rescue them! Whom shall I send? Who? Who? Who? The harvest is plenty, but where are the labourers? Wake up, O Sleeping Church!!! I put this question to you and I: Have you not also looked back, either physically or in your heart? Are you still at your duty post?....Look not behind thee...lest thou be consumed! My dear brothers/sisters, it is not about starting this christian race, but are we determined to hold out to the end? So many that have fallen today, never envisaged this at the beginning, it all started gradually from the heart! Also, when one starts starving ones spirit man in the area of the Word of God and prayers; such begin to lose the spiritual strength to overcome the little foxes and before long, the little foxes destroys the whole vine! So many also get so overconfident and fail to listen to the Spirits warnings! Matthew 7:21: Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Are we doing the will of God as stated in HIS Word? Theres no two-way about it, its either one comes out of the world and be separate, or remains there, and be consumed! Oh, that we will arise and get back to work with the power and authority we have in Jesus. God is looking for Faithful, Available, Holy, Sanctified men on which His power will be released to do great wonders/exploits for God; Beloved, will God find you present or absent for His use? Lets search our hearts today, where does it belong? Who is the one controlling the affairs of our heart? May we not be among them who will draw back to perdition; lets be watchful and prayerful!
