LOYALTY AND OBEDIENCE Are you loyal to God? Are you obedient? - TopicsExpress

LOYALTY AND OBEDIENCE Are you loyal to God? Are you obedient? As I was reading in Ezekiel, I realized that God is not pleased with our disloyalty or our disobedience, and there are consequences for not being loyal or obedient. God said and they shall know and understand that I am the Lord God Sovereign Ruler who calls forth loyalty and obedient service, so this is important to God. Ezekiel 28:22-26 22 And say, Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against you, O Sidon, and I will show forth My glory and be glorified in the midst of you. And they shall know (understand and realize) that I am the Lord when I execute judgments and punishments in her, and am set apart and separated and My holiness is manifested in her. 23 For I will send pestilence into her and blood into her streets, and the wounded shall be judged and fall by the sword in the midst of her on every side, and they shall know (understand and realize) that I am the Lord [the Sovereign Ruler, Who calls forth loyalty and obedient service]. 24 And there shall be no more a brier to prick the house of Israel or a hurting thorn of all those around them who have treated them with contempt, and they shall know (understand and realize) that I am the Lord God [the Sovereign Ruler, Who calls forth loyalty and obedient service]. 25 Thus says the Lord God: When I gather the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, and I shall be set apart and separated and My holiness made apparent in them in the sight of the nations, then shall they dwell in their own land which I gave to My servant Jacob. 26 And they shall dwell safely in it and shall build houses and plant vineyards; yes, they shall dwell securely and with confidence when I have executed judgments and punishments upon all those round about them who have despised and trodden upon them and pushed them away, and they shall know (understand and realize) that I am the Lord their God [their Sovereign Ruler, Who calls forth loyalty and obedient service]. Sidon was a thorn in Israel’s side. Sound familiar? As I was reading this, I couldn’t help but think of my earlier life. I couldn’t help but think of the people that were holding me back, the things that were trying to destroy me. Israel was the same way. They were surrounded by people who were not good for them. They just couldn’t break free. There was danger at every turn. Destruction was caving in on them. God made a way for me to break free from all the things that were not good for me, just like He did Israel. I am thankful for His protective hand that has been on my life from the beginning. Without His help, there is no way I would be where I am today. Israel was God’s chosen people. When God chooses you, there is nothing that He won’t do to help you get where you need to be. All He asks is for you to be loyal and obedient. GOD IS LOOKING FOR LOYAL AND OBEDIENT SERVANTS, those who will listen to His voice and follow His commands. Psalm 91:9-11 9 Because you have made the Lord your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, 10 There shall no evil befall you, nor any plague or calamity come near your tent. 11 For He will give His angels [especial] charge over you to accompany and defend and preserve you in all your ways [of obedience and service]. Father, you are my refuge and my strength. I seek those secret places in you. Thank you for your protective hand. Thank you for giving me angels to watch over me, to defend me, and to keep me on the path of obedient service to you, Amen! Have a blessed and glorious day! ~~Michelle Thomas~~
