LPA 90W was located some 285 km ESE of Casiguran, Aurora...moving NW @ 17 kph across the western part of the Philippine Sea...will bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms across Luzon and Visayas. Residents in hazard-prone areas are advised to be on alert for possible flash floods or landslides especially during severe thunderstorms. The rest of the Philippines will be partly to mostly cloudy with isolated to scattered rain showers and thunderstorms especially in the afternoon or evening. Meanwhile, a new low pressure area (LPA 91W) has formed some 1,050 km east of Northern Mindanao...weak at this time to develop into a tropical cyclone within the next 24 hrs.
