People openly talking about the influence of the moon, even in conversations with strangers. Instead of mentioning the weather people will talk about the moon. 2. A sign on your door...Bad Moon Went Fishing 3. People not using the cliche ... Its a full moon. Thats when all the crazies come out. People will finally understand that full moons are dynamic in their influences on people, in their time frames, in the fields of learning they touch and in the numerous areas of society that they impact. 4. A note to Johnny’s teacher... Dear Mrs. Jones, Please excuse my son’s absence from school yesterday. As you know it was a terrible phase of the moon and he had trouble getting his act together. Thank you for your understanding in this matter. 5. We may see lunacy pleas. Judges will throw them out of court and even reprimand attorneys if they try using this stunt, but down the road this may catch on. In order for a lunacy plea to be accepted the moons effects on human behavior needs to be better documented. That means controlled studies, recognition by important institutions and generally accepted rules and standards. So were a long way off. A lunacy plea might be similar to pleading guilty with an explanation... The attorney would have to show how the defendants behavior was in part lunar assisted. I’m sure the legal profession will come up with its own fancy terms without mentioning the word moon. For a valid lunacy plea you would need to demonstrate... 1. That the occurrence was totally out of character for the defendant. 2. That the occurrence happened during an extreme position of the moon associated with certain types of behavior.
