La Repubblica di San Marino is a tiny country completely surrounded by Italy, and has never won a competitive soccer game, although it beat even tinier Liechtenstein 1-0 in a friendly on April 28, 2004. It has just completed another futile World Cup qualifying round, losing all ten games, conceding 54 goals and managing to score one (against Poland). On the other hand, Hungary lost 8-1 to the Netherlands last Friday, so if San Marino winds up in Hungarys group for Euro 2016 qualifying they just might win their first game.
