La Union Roving Photo Gallery III Debuts at Bangbangolan NHS By: Israel O. Rudio Provincial Information & Tourism Office-La Union Showcasing the various development programs of the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU), the La Union Roving Photo Gallery III will officially open on March 10-14, 2014 at Bangbangolan National High School, City of San Fernando City, La Union. Conceptualized by the Provincial Information and Tourism Office (PITO) as information dissemination tool, the gallery will be displayed in the province’s selected areas such as malls; colleges and universities; public high schools; resorts and hotels; town halls; and hospitals. The project is expected to solicit support from the people of La Union to the various PGLU advocacies as it highlights a working provincial government. Now on its third time to be conducted, the first La Union Roving Photo Gallery was displayed on September 28, 2009 to March 12, 2010 at all tertiary schools in the province using a wooden collapsible gallery which used 7” X 9” and 11” X 9” pictures. For its second and third year, four stainless steel frames and acrylic sheet were used to cover 11” X 16” pictures. The old gallery was redesigned and installed on the two main columns of the Provincial Capitol Building’s Ground Floor Lobby and displays local current event pictures. The PGLU led by Gov. Manuel C. Ortega, recognizes the various stakeholders of the province as development partners and important building blocks of community development. Their contributions and potentials are very important and as catalysts of development they must be familiar to their own province. Through the roving photo gallery, the stakeholders of the province will become more familiar with the province and make them realize of their role and participation for progress and development.
