Ladies and gentleman of the community, we have a big announcement concerning our website! In the past few years, the forums have become a no mans land: a post-apocalyptic part of the internet that only the world of Fallout could associate with. In the last few months, the Beagles Social Media Squad and our webmaster have been working on getting a new forum up and running. Why a new one? Why not use the old one? Why the reboot? All legitimate questions and all lead to the same answer: the database. The database we have been using on the old forums is old. Were talking on the scale of about nine to ten years old. Unfortunately, databases tend to decay over time, and cause multiple problems for a message boards operation. Every once in a while, a clean sweep must be made. Removal of all the old information, or in our case, simply discarding the old for the new. On top of that, weve come to realize that while the Anime NebrasKon Group page on Facebook has been a great way for staff and attendees alike to communicate, it also becomes a bit of a mess at certain points in the year. Never fear though, there will be no neglect of the Group page. We do, however, request that folks move to addressing their concerns through the forums instead of the group page. We figure the forums to be a less chaotic method of organizing questions and answers. So not only are we doing a clean sweep, weve also swapped forum software. Anime NebrasKon will be using SMF Machines for the foreseeable future. New features weve added are the ability to register and login with your accounts from Facebook, Google +, Twitter, and Steam. We do have further plans for both the forums and the website in 2015, so stay tuned! The new forums can be found at forum.animenebraskon! We hope you all will enjoy them!
