Last evening at Boro Hall I spent 2 1/2 fascinating hours talking with four veterans from Operation Enduring Freedom & Operation Iraqi Freedom, all of whom happen to have been US Marines and are now members of the NYPD. I learned a lot about a wide array of issues. We at Boro Hall are planning a series of events for our vets this November, and last night we discuss trying to assemble a OEF/OIF vet to vet mentoring program. Much work to be done. Thank God there are people like these four men who continue to serve and protect us. Super impressive.
