Last night I went to the funeral of Sean Carmeli, an IDF solider who fell in Gaza yesterday. Sean was a lone solider from Texas and I felt a need to be there with him, because he had no one here in israel. So I went, and was amazed: over 20,000 people came to be together with Sean, so his family wont be alone in this difficult time. We didnt know him but he was one of us, and he was killed for us, and this is whats important. So many people from Am Yisrael from the whole spectrum came just to be together with another Jew, soldier, that they dont know. Sean is considered a Lone Soldier , yet on his last way he was far from being alone! I am still overwhelmed by beauty of the people of Am Yisrael. עם ישראל חי!
