Last night, Robin Lipman (the mother of my dear friend Matthew Lipman) passed away last night from liver cancer. I remember the day I first met her when she brought Matt to my house for his first lesson with my dad. I thought, wow, this is such an amazing, kind woman and shes so supportive of Matt. Robin and my parents hit it off right away, so whenever Matt was having his lessons, my ma and Robin were always chatting the whole time :). Since Matts lessons were usually right before dinner, we usually ended up eating together(my parents, Matt and Robin), and it was always such a lovely time. Robin actually felt like a 2nd mom to me- driving me and Matt to orchestra rehearsals and always attending all of our rehearsals and concerts. Her love for Matt was so strong and wanted nothing more but to see him grow as a successful musician- which is exactly what he has become. Robin will be missed by so many people, but we should all realize that her time on earth was spent as one of the greatest mothers a child could ever ask for.
