Last week, I got all caught up in the moment of being able to give away a car...I wasnt thinking of anything else, including the running of my little BBQ operation and the fact that I was completely out of cooking wood...Now, its not that I struggle to find good cooking wood...I have SEVERAL people who can, and do, sell me the stuff that I ask for and I am fortunate for that...BUT...That day, I ran dry and couldnt focus on it...I, at some point, had sent a message to Cheri Newton Turner to see if she had any Cherry, she did and said she would deliver it...I was kind of in bad shape on extra cash to be buying wood, but didnt worry about it...I left the money with Donna to pay for our delivery, and then I shot out of here to see a man about a car... A couple hours later, I came back to find that my wood pile had been re-stocked with some of the best Cherry that Ive had in a while...It is seasoned perfectly...Heres the kicker...When I walked back in, Donna told me that the wood delivery people never came because she had been in the kitchen and no one ever came to ask for the money...I was confused...We had a wood pile and we still had the money...I wrote to Cheri and said Hey, I have cooking wood and I still have money...What gives?...She wrote back We do!...Enjoy!...I was astounded...She took it upon herself to do something nice for us because we did something nice for someone else.... The money that she DIDNT charge me basically went toward being able to pay it forward and I never really got to properly THANK her for that gesture...I dont really know her, BUT I can already tell what type of person she is....Shes running a small business and she works hard...She sells produce and other things, too...She is the type of people that I like to know...I hope that you folks need something that she sells...You would be smart to check with her, if you value those type of relationships...Thanks for your time!
