Last week I provided the information that we had on the alfalfa - TopicsExpress

Last week I provided the information that we had on the alfalfa that was making horses sick to my friend in Norco. She shared the info, including the color strings that were used to bind the bales. We wanted to warn the horse owners in Norco to be on the look out for this hay because the hay broker could have sold it anywhere before learning it was bad, I got remarks like that is what you get for buying from a broker instead of a feed store! I explained that it was bought from a feed store and that it was the #1 quality, not cheap junk. Then I got, The expensive stuff?! It was only sold for $17.99. Cheaper is not better. Like money made it bad. Very few read the thread. Only a couple liked it. Few paid any attention to it. Well guess what? One of their stores was selling it. Now they have sick horses. If they had simply listened to and paid head to what the horse owning residents of Phelan already knew then they would not have had s problem. It angers me and makes me sad to have once called Horsetown USA my home. People used to care about each other and the horses near and far. Based on my experience on their FB page this past week, it is clear that is no longer the case. It was like they said dont bother us with your problems desert rat! We are Norco and we are better than you desert people. I know I really should let it go and be done with it, but it bothers me that attitudes now result in more horses going through this. :-(
