Last week I waited 15 minutes for a bus from North Sydney to the city. The bus pulled up and the bus only accepted the Traveltens and not my new shiny Opal Card because it wasnt installed yet and the driver didnt accept cash or credit card payments, or let me board the bus to the nearest convenience store that sells a ticket. So here i was... a person wanting to use public transport, but unable to because of a pathetic, inefficient and expensive ticketing system that isnt accepted on the very services it was designed for. I fired off a nasty email to Sydney Buses / NSW Transport and all i got was a generic apology letter template. Such excuses. Much wow. I knew i should have stayed home and played Archeage. As a person trained as an urban planner ... FACEPALM.
