Last year I was honoured to be appointed onto the Environment & Natural Resources Committee, which is a joint investigatory committee of the Victorian Parliament. This year the Committee will undertake an Inquiry into the Country Fire Authoritys Training College at Fiskville. Amonst a number of considerations, we will undertake a historical study of pollution, contamination and unsafe activities at Fiskville between 1970 and the present day, and the health impacts on employees, residents and visitors. Today Monash University released the findings of a health study into Fiskville, which Premier Daniel Andrews asked to be included into the Inquiry. Details are provided in the shared post. I look forward to working with fellow Committee members over the coming months on this important investigation.
