Late lunch again: Water crest soup & minced pork with English gourd served with mixed grains rice My 18m19d had lunch about 330pm since she decided to nap after our grocery shopping and the plumber came over when she woke up! This is also my first time cooking water crest soup for my girl: Water crest (one bunch) 1 1/2 Chicken carcass 1/2 chicken breast Handful of wolf berries Handful of red dates Handful of brown dates Water as needed Boiled for 3 - 4 hours. For a cost of less than RM5, we have a big pot of soup. Minced pork with English gourd (also known as fuzzy melon, Google for picture): Minced pork marinated with orange juice English gourd, finely sliced Carrot, finely sliced Small bowl of stock (I used the above soup) Onion, chopped 1 egg 1 tsp bega cheddar cheese Olive oil Dash of pepper Steps: 1. Stir fry onion in oil until fragrant. 2. Add in marinated pork and stir fry for 2 minutes. 3. Add in English gourd & carrot. Stir for 3 minutes. 4. Whisk egg with cheese and pour into the cooking ingredients. 5. Stir evenly and until cooked. Off fire. Dessert: Papaya
