Latest Vacancy: Financial Reporting Accountant at Airtel Zambia DEPARTMENT: FINANCE VACANCY: FINANCIAL REPORTING ACCOUNTANT LEVEL: MANAGER LOCATION: LUSAKA JOB PURPOSE: Ensuring timely capture, accuracy, completeness and quality of all Financial Transactions for Financial Reporting. REPORTING TO THE FINANCIAL REPORTING MANAGER, THE ROLE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR: Management of Input and Output SLAs for Financial Reporting between Airtel Networks Zambia and ACE India: Ensure alignment of all Business Units in Airtel Network Zambia with the SLAs signed with ACE India – Hold frequent review meetings with Business Units to align them with SLA deliverables Ensure timely submission of all Inputs to ACE India in line with agreed SLAs Commercial Inventory Management Ensure monthly inventory counts are planned and conducted accordingly to Standard Operating Procedures. Ensure inventory reconciliations are conducted per location. Cost of Sales Management Ensure monthly analytical review of Cost of Goods Sold to provide assurance on adequacy of the expense in relation to actual sales Ensure movement in commercial inventory is in line with movement in cost of goods sold and where not in line, appropriate analysis is conducted. Ensure all Cost of Goods sold is properly supported with actuals sales in revenue lines. Fixed Assets Management Ensure monthly engagement with Business Units for all capitalization inputs Ensure monthly submission of all capitalization inputs to ACE for monthly reporting Ensure preparation of Fixed Assets note for Annual Financial Statements Capex Inventory Management Ensure monthly CWIP inventory validation is conducted by SCM Ensure quarterly CWIP inventory count is conducted as per Group Guidelines Ensure all CWIP Inventory item codes are correctly mapped to correct accounts Ensure all procurement items of an inventory nature that have been shipped but not receipted in the business are properly booked in Goods In transit as per the relevant contracts and accounting guidelines Tax Accounting Ensure that all monthly tax entries are booked correctly Ensure all movements in tax accounts are support by tax computations and relevant back up Ensure all Tax reconciling items are investigated with relevant stake holders and resolved within 15 days of the end of the month Provide support to the F&F and AOP process on Operating Expenses Provide all requisite support to the BPA team in the process of AOP and F&F REQUIREMENTS Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills ACCA , CIMA, ZICA Relevant Experience 2 Years Accounting Experience in a busy multinational Other requirements (Behavioral etc.) Excellent planning and organisational skills Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent communications skills, both orally and in writing Sets high personal standards and is goal oriented Customer focused Business awareness Strong analytical skills CLOSING DATE Suitable candidates are required to send their application & Curriculum vitae to [email protected].
