Left the Abate meeting about 30 minutes ago. The local Locust Grove police pulled me over for speeding.. I was following another vehicle because my speedometer doesnt work, but he chose to pull me over. He said I was going 53 and sped up to 56 mph in a 45 mph zone. After I explained that my motorcycle speedometer wasnt working he said he wouldnt write me a ticket. The officer said he thought I was a car as he was setting on the side of the road radaring oncoming traffic and I have two headlights. He said he had never seen a motorcycle like mine and asked a few questions about how it operated. I had to show him that my instrument lights worked and then he let me go with a drive safely. Time to order a speedo cable, but I rarely look at it at night if I am following someone.
