Leg Day begins now! I have heard so many funny stories and excuses why people dont workout i could write a book. Trying to eat right is only half of the fitness equation. If your not doing some type of strength training and/or cardiovascular exercise your not going to ever be totally fit or healthy. I know a girl thats 5-3, 120lbs which sounds right but since she doesnt workout her body fat is 34%. Everyone says oh i walk for exercise. Well my cat walks but its not enough. Yes it burns calories but no it does not get heart rate up enough unless your in San Francisco. Strength training works wonders and even if you dont want to add alot of muscle some is needed especially if you fall or if you want to lessen chance of injury and keep your body in a fat burning mode. Cardio only will cause muscle loss over time and cardio elevates your metabolism for 3 to 4 hours tops where as strength training elevates your metabolism for 18 to 24 hours plus the added benefit of getting stronger.
