Legal assistance for Iraqi and Afghan allies of the U.S. military The Iraqi Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP) is a non-profit U.S.-based organization that provides free legal assistance to Iraqis and Afghans who worked for the U.S. government or military and are facing threats as a result, under the U.S. Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) program. We know that eligible applicants have had difficulty accessing or navigating this program, and we are trying to reach out to as many veterans, active-duty service members, and Iraqi and Afghan allies as possible to let them know that we can assist.
