Let me describe two types of responsible government that I have witnessed and enjoyed. Back in Idi-Araba, I remember our lecturers regaling us with tales about how they enjoyed being medical students. They were served free food and had their clothes dry cleaned for them (Yes, you heard right). My set didnt enjoyed that much, but we didnt pay tuition fee. We were never harassed for school fees in any way. We still had two students to a room. (Max 3) Some of us payed all our school fees at the final year when it was convenient for us. (Peanut - about N80/session, I think) Do you know how much medical students pay in US? Like $100k! So, I benefited hugely from Nigeria. There was also free education in Primary to Secondary School. That is the first government. In the UK, there was a time things were a bit tough. We strolled into the local council, blabbed some explanations. A week later, the council started paying my full house rent and some little change was still left in my bank account. I simply wake up to eat, watch telly, browse the internet, get tired, then go back to sleep. Things got sorted, as a good citizen, I went back to explain to them, they stopped the benefits and I continued with my normal tax-paying lifestyle. Many of the bloody layabouts hailing those Nigerian politicians have only tasted crappy government with no roads, no water, no light, no security, no life and no welfare. What do you think the politicians are elected to do? To loot?? But, they will come on facebook hauling insults at those who told them they deserve much better from those evil politicians. Keep fighting against your own interests. You kuku dont know better. E dey your body! Mumunatu!!
