Let me explain my most recent post: I find it very satisfying to have a life I love. It has been a very hard road to get to this place I am at but it has definitely been worth every step. It has been a very long time since I have been able to have this kind of peace in my life and I am happy for it. That being said I have made some very bad decisions in the past, this year included. They are choices that I am ashamed of, and things that I pray will never happen again. Through all of this though I am learning how to live, love and laugh again. Addiction took those things from me, and I am regaining through the grace of God all of those things back. Today has been 266 days since I have taken a drink, and all in all it has been a very satisfying and life changing year. Sure I dont have everything I want, but I have everything I need. I will have a successful life and I will be deliberate about going out and getting it. There are certain people that I have hurt through all this and to those people I need to make amends and keep my side of the street clean. I am purging my life of resentments and anger. Some people may be tired of hearing Im sorry and to be quite honest I am tired of saying it, but its a good start. It lays a foundation for the proof...which is coming ;-) Amends are not just words but also making right what you destroyed. That is what I am going to do. Make it right. It may take a long time but I will make it right.
