Let your childs imagination and love for the environment flourish with this beautiful storytelling session by author and environmental educator, Kenny Peavy. Organized as part of the 7th Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival, this storytelling session is fun and engaging - perfect for parents too! The storytelling session will take place at White Box, Publika on 19 October (Sunday) from 2 pm to 3:30 pm. Seats are limited and registration is required. Registration free is RM25 (first come first serve basis) and you will receive an autographed version of The Box People (book retails at RM35). About Kenny Peavy - For the past 17 years Kenny has worked as both a classroom science teacher and Naturalist in the United States, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. His first book, As if the Earth Matters, co-authored with Thom Henley was recommended by the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA Recommends!) and is used by international schools, local schools, national parks, NGO’s and communities around the world to spark an interest in the outdoors and encourage stewardship of our planet. Kennys most recent book, The Box People, is a children’s book that helps us rediscover our connection to the natural world. He will be using some of the proceeds from the sale of The Box People to support sustainability projects in local communities in Southeast Asia such as reforestation in Sumatra, Indonesia, mangrove plantings in Thailand and sponsoring the education of inner city street kids in Bangkok, Thailand.
