Lets all say a prayer that John is not one of the 9 people who get the tap for an urgent 6 month deployment to Qatar within the next 30 days. That would totally sink his ability to interview for academic jobs this spring and kind of sink his career as a professor. Hoping that his boss realizes this and taps someone else! Selfish I know, some of the other guys have infants at home and toddlers and that is never, ever fun
