Lets just get this out of the way, real quick, and relatively painless, like ripping off a band-aid all in one shot...shall we? Hopefully the many questions a lot of you have been asking will be answered in this post. 1.) Im well aware that some of you are disappointed that Preachers book will be coming out before ZZs. I cant apologize for it though, it was a calculated decision and done with quite a lot of thought and nothing but good intentions. And really, it was ultimately done for the benefit of the reader. UnDeserving will pick back off between the last chapter in UnBeloved and UnBeloveds Epilogue, and is every bit as much about Deuce and Eva as it will be about Young Preacher and Debbie (Evas mother). Its not filler, its not me being cruel, its just me telling this story (the whole story) in the order it was meant to be told. 2.) No, I dont have a set publishing date for UnDeserving, and youre not the only ones irritated by this. A few of my publishers seem to be a little annoyed with me as well. It cant be helped though, its not the way I work. Im a sucker for freedom, and I write best when Im not under the pressure and stresses of a deadline. This is ultimately why I made the hard decision to NOT sell the UnD series to a traditional USA publisher. Otherwise, Im not entirely sure what would have become of the series I cherish so much, and am glad I dont ever have to find out. With that said, I did promise it would be out this WINTER and Im going to go out on a limb here and tell you that by the mid/end of winter IT WILL more than likely be ready for publishing. If all goes well...of course. You know I always keep you updated on my progress, so trust me, if youre following me on FB, Twitter, IG... You will know. :) 3.) Foreign translations. Yes, the UnD series will be published in both French and German, as well as in a few other languages looming on the horizon. Which languages the books are published in isnt my decision, it is that of the foreign publishers who want the series. I wish, believe me, I WISH, I could publish the books in every language, so please, please, dont feel slighted if you dont see it published in your specific language. Ive seen a few upsets in regard to this, and all I can tell you is that it may or may not happen, but that I have no control over it whether it does or does not. 4.) Last, but not least, here is my somewhat vague publishing schedule for 2015: THICKER THAN BLOOD - January 15, 2015 UnDeserving - Mid/End of winter 2015 My Heart & Soul - Spring 2015 A big surprise - Summer 2015 UnDying - Fall/Winter 2015 As you can see, I have an incredibly busy year coming up, so please cut me a little slack. It takes an enormous amount of time and energy to write a book, even more to write a book I feel happy with. I go with the flow, let my characters drive me, really, truly try to feel them, and see through their eyes. Never once, have I a released a book I wasnt satisfied with and I wont start doing it now just to pump out books faster. If I lose readers because of it, then so be it.
