Lets see the rescue got the number 7.....so 7 things people dont know about SFABBR. 1) I opened the rescue 6 weeks before I met Andy but we just always tell everyone we are co-founders. (April 2010) 2) the rescue almost always operates in the red, which we bail it out every month to make sure there is enough money to pay for everything. 3) We donated $15,562 last year out of our combined income of $46,000. 4) I would love to be able to afford to run the rescue full time and not need to work another job, if it were self sustaining by donations and adoption fees I would be able to. 5) We sacrificed our honeymoon to pay for Goliath and Samaras heart worm treatment last year because we were not able to raise money for it hope to some day get to take one. 6) Our rescue only has 6 regular volunteers, a few who come once in awhile and 3 foster homes. We foster 6 dogs, plus our personal 4. The Smith Family fosters 1 plus their personal pack here in Morganton. The Polo family fosters 1 plus their personal pack in Louisville, KY. 7) I answer over 100 emails or phone calls for help daily!
