Let’s get ready to ride! Why warm up? If you want to perform at your best and minimize the risk of injury, then you should always warm up before you get on your motorbike. Your bike needs warming up before a ride and so does your body! The purpose of warming up is to get your blood flowing around your muscles and brain, getting your mind ready for action. What warm up do the girl’s do? Keep it simple. You need to be able to do your warm up at a track. Please note, there are many different ways to warm up. The girl’s warm up routine has been specifically designed by their personal Fitness Trainer. Whitney Muscat. Both Hayley and Brooke use skipping both for Gymnastics and Motorcross, as skipping is a useful warmup exercise to get the brain and body working. Both in changing the direction of where the body is moving, as well as getting the arms going, it stimulates and helps focus the individual. It’s important to warm up utilising movements that require shifting your body weight simulating the movements you experience while riding. When to warm up You want to do your warm up as close to your race or practise time as possible. If you warm up too early your muscles will be thinking more about recovery than working hard.
