Levis in-store iPad application Prototype Northumbria University Interactive Media Design Year 3 DE0973 - Personal Project, Future Media and Communications. For this project I undertook research into the retail space and what brands are trying to innovate and who are currently most successful integrating technology within the high street. Taking this research onboard I then picked out what I believe to be problems and where others are lacking. I gave myself a theme to keep in mind throughout the project, which was omnichannel. Omnichannel is the notion of creating a seamless and consistent experience across all platforms to purchase product. Most retail shops, especially those which arent flagships, are constrained to particular pieces from a range or only hold a certain size range, where as you have a much bigger benefit going online as all the product is there ready to buy, any time. This Prototype aims to challenge this problem with an instore application which allows customers to buy a product in store there and then if that store does not stock what they are looking for.
