Life by Charles Willis “Man who is born of a woman is few of days and full of trouble. He comes out like a flower and withers; he flees like a shadow and continues not.” Job 14:1-2 ESV This is a hard saying for the young but to the aged it is reality. During the early years we are always looking and anxious for tomorrow to come. As we get older we realize how short the past was. There are always troubles that make parts of our life seem long at the time. The comparison to a flower is certainly fitting. We come into life, display our talents and beauty for a time then fade away. With the passing of a few generations we are no more than a name that few remember. The older we get the more we see the brevity of life. Keeping our eyes on Jesus and serving him can make the short life that we have meaningful. Therein lies the beauty of our existence, the opportunity to live on in the presence of God. Make sure you are in the number that lives in the comfort, joy of and presence of God for eternity.
