Life comes from Love & Light. God is Love. God is Light. God is Life. No Love-No Light-No Life. We live only because of Love. To reject Love is to reject Light (knowledge). Love & Light are the essence of Life. Apart from Love & Light we would exist forever in a state of self, of darkness & of lifelessness (death, corruption). Jesus Christ is the express image of the Nature & Character of God, which is Love, Light & Life. We must turn outward rather than inward to see & to live. We must look up; away from ourself, for help. We know that we have received Gods Love (mercy & forgiveness), when we in turn Love (have mercy on, & forgive) others. Lord, help me to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth, length, depth & height of Your love (Ephesians 3:18). Let me increase & abound in love (1 Thessalonians 3:12). Jesus is Lord... He is Love... He is Light... He is Life... To make Jesus our Lord is to receive Gods divine nature, which is absolute & quintessential Love, Light & Life. Light (knowledge, understanding) comes to those who choose Love. Light comes to those who lay down their life for the sake of another. Jesus did this for the entire world. Jesus did this for His enemies. Even in regard to natural life, people generally live longer who live for someone other than their self. Believe it or not, there are many people whose motivation for living is to help someone other than their self. Thats the influence of the love of our Creator upon their life. If Gods influence were not in the atmosphere of earth at all, there would be no Love here at all. There would be no one sacrificing anything for the sake of another. This state of absolute loveless-ness is the eternal essence & nature of fallen demon spirits. A mother would have no affection for her babies if satan had full influence upon humanity with no help at all from God. Thats the state of souls in hell. People who love, receive light (knowledge, illumination, insight) regarding how to more effectively help the person or persons they are loving. The more we Love, the more Light we receive. The more Light we receive, the more we are able to comprehend the reality of who God is. The more we comprehend God (Eternal Life) the more of Him (Life) we receive & are able to walk in. I knew a man who came to the end of himself. He knew that he had to somehow forgive, or his life would quickly end. He thought of himself as a lover of God for most of his life, yet by his own admission, says he had never been born of God. He did not have in himself the love necessary to forgive those who had caused him pain until one day he cried out to God for help. Surprisingly, though he had been a leader in a false religion for years, this is how he was born again. Jesus Christ became his Lord when He cried out to God in desperation, to be able to forgive those whose actions had inflicted untold misery upon his soul. Why did Jesus Christ come in when He cried out to God for His love? Because Jesus Christ is the Love, the Mercy & the Forgiveness of God! We all need Love, Light & Life, & God has provided it all through faith in His Son Jesus Christ!
