Lisburn Young Defenders are hosting their 15th annual melody contest in Lisburn Orange Hall on Saturday 22nd March 2014 at 2.30pm! There will be food and bar facilities on the premises! Peter Worrell will be attending with a wide selection of his flutes so come along and see what he has to offer! The bands who have confirmed that they will be playing at the contest are: 3.00pm - Sir George White Memorial Flute Band 3.30pm - Skeogh Flute Band 4.00pm - Pride Of Ballinran 4.30pm - Shankill Road Defenders Flute Band 5.00pm - Pride of the Raven 5.30pm - Omagh Protestant Boys 6.00pm - Ballylesson Old Boys Flute Band 6.30pm - Brookeborough Flute Band 7.00pm - Sons of William Flute Band, Cookstown The categories that these bands will be competing in are: Best Hymn/Sacred Tune Best Traditional Orange/Loyal Tune Best Percussion Best Flute Best Entertainment After the contest is over the hall will remain open for refreshments and a disco!
