Live online on 17 May: Sir Simon Rattle and Frank Peter Zimmermann with Mozart & Bruckner Claudio Abbado, who was to conduct this concert, passed away on 20 January 2014. In remembrance of this painful loss, Frank Peter Zimmermann plays Mozart’s Violin Concerto in G major without conductor during the first half of the concert and Sir Simon Rattle conducts Bruckner’s Symphony No. 7 during the second part.
