Local Moms car Stolen, please share! (From Front Page Forum:) Hello Everyone, I am new to the community and I am hopeful that with your support we can help law enforcement find the person/persons who stole my vehicle. I awoke yesterday morning to get my 3 year old ready for school and looked out the door and my vehicle was gone. Because of the winter parking ban I assumed it got towed. I called the Montpelier Police (who have been great!) and they verified my car was not towed. When I checked my bank account (my walltet was in my vehicle), my account balance was $0.00. It was evident that my vehicle had been stolen. In my car was a backpack (I am a full time student) with a semesters worth of work and projects in it. My USB drive is in the backpack as well as text books. My childs carseat and toys were also in the vehicle. What this tells me is that the theives do not value family or education. Rob me blind and take my car, but please leave my hard work and childs possesions on the curb! My vehicle was last seen parked in front of my 170 Barre st address at 11:30 pm. According to the transactions on my card I am guessing it was taken between 1:30 and 2:30 am. My vehicle is a blue 2007 Chevy Cobalt two door coupe with rear spoiler. VT license plate # GBE 361. My former Conecticut plates were in the vehicle were in the back seat so it is possible those may have been put on to divert police. My CT palte # is YXW 314. If anyone has any clue to who may have taken my vehicle or where it may be, please report it to the Montpelier PD. They have been so wonderful in helping me through this. Thank you all for reading. If by any chance the perpetrator is reading this, please return my backback, IDs, and carseat.You can leave it on the curb and no one would ever know it was you. The car and money are material items and I have already gotten over those losses. I just want my identity and hard work back.
