Long years back the British government issued the infamous Balfour declaration which sated in effect that the government viewed with favor the establishment of a homeland for Jews in Palestine. Now several British MPs have secured a debate in Parliament on their motion that “this House believes that the government should recognize the state of Palestine alongside the State of Israel”. Such a declaration is long overdue as is the swift recognition by the British government of the state of Palestine alongside the State of Israel. As expected, the Israeli lobby campaigned for and obtained an amendment to be also discussed and voted on. It states that a negotiated two-state solution is required to give Israel security and “that is the only way mutual recognition between the Palestinian and Israelis can be achieved with an agreement on sensitive issues including border and security arrangements.’’ It should be clear by now that if anyone is in need of security it is the projected Palestinian state from the Israeli government which is bent on creating an Israeli state in all of Palestine except for some ghettos in which the Palestinians can live and call the collective ghettos “Palestinian State”!! jpost/International/British-MPs-to-vote-on-calls-for-Palestinian-state-375775
