Longniddry F.C inaugural Golf day at Whitekirk Golf Club Sunday 5th October What an absolutely fantastic day, great weather, a good turnout and brilliant prizes for all our winners. First of all the club would like to thanks all our supporters on the Golf Day. Aspects (Edinburgh) Ltd, Speedy Hire, Hugh Douglas, Unique 33, LML lifts, David Cochrane, Thee Other Foot, Hard Graft Garden Services, Our Dynamic Earth, Whitekirk Golf Club, Royal Musselburgh Golf Club and Craigielaw Golf Club. The support of everyone is essential in putting together a competitive day and that is exactly what we got with some excellent scores and no shortage of golfing prowess. The day ran very smoothly mainly due to our chairmans organisational skills and the help of Paul Wardell at the Golf Club. The Stableford system was well received and certainly made for a cutting edge to everyones play. And so to the winners Only 6 points separated the top 4 teams with The winning team scoring an admirable 87 points Congratulations to Stevie Laidlaw, Gordon Taylor, Craig Russell and Craig Laidlaw on becoming Longniddry Villa Golf Day Champions. Well done to all the other teams and also to the winners of the hole specials for longest drives and nearest the pin. It is anticipated that we have raised £500 for the club funds which will go a long way to assisting the club throughout the year. Thanks to all those who got involved and we are looking forward to next years day already.
