Look Pastor, the principle of fear judgment in relation to God and - TopicsExpress

Look Pastor, the principle of fear judgment in relation to God and accounting principles is what I am basing my point on. Tithe is said in the bible and even socially, money runs the development of the Gospel. My quarrel with todays pastors is about the standard to which tithe is based(Gross or net) which I believe should be net. Second, most pastors again run curses on their members that "prosperity will not follow whoever does not pay the tithe on gross" Third, with what we are seeing nowadays, that some pastor use cultish methods and incantations with traditional medicine to sustain their church. Fourth, what is the position the jobless in the church?. My anger was at a recent church I attended, when this curse was said, I vehemently openly raise a caution that bring this discuss. Different people with different problems are in the church, while some come for business, some are there to worship the true God. We need to be fear on our members and consider the social difficulties of the moment to judge our members. Another quote from the pastor is about Abraham, Abraham gave 10% of his wealth for that particular season, 10% of what? He gave 10% of the residual wealth after satisfying all recurrent and personal inputs(all, these days are measured in terms of money) Abraham must have given personal care(food, shelter, strength, mental stress, sweat, and so on) to the creation of the wealth. In this case cost of the land was not considered. The servants used by Abraham to create the wealth were taken care off then. All these were input expenditures which were silent in the bible. In todays contest, a man with 4 children earning N25,000.00 a month here in Nigeria has the following recurrent overheads - Paying rent, feeding the family, paying school fees, transportation, clothing to mention a few. Judging from the present economy, the overhead expenditure would have taken N24,000.00 with prudency, unless if he would remain in debt or find fraudulent or corrupt ways to balance the budget. With this scenarios, some pastors did not consider that crime increases due to human insatiable wants including obeying tithe unfear message and curses from the pastors. In your seminar try to consider the above and reach a fear conclusion. Jesus did not come to rewrite the law but He said "Do Not Think That I Came to Destroy the Law but to Fulfill it". Law keepers and pastors always try to justify their 10 commandment keeping by Matt. 5:17-19. In the greater context of his sermon Jesus is giving contrasts of his correct interpretation of the law in contrast to the Pharisees interpretation. The Pharisaic traditions destroyed the law because they reinterpreted the law, not presenting it in the way Moses had intended. As long as Jesus was alive He had to keep the law the way it was written by Moses. He would fulfill the law as Moses had written it. Once He died and rose again He ratified what was needed to be kept under the law of Christ (not Moses). This law was either given directly by Jesus or through the apostles after the resurrection (Acts 1:2). The Sermon on the Mount is used to prove one is still under the law but Jesus is only explaining the true intent of the law in contrast to what the Pharisees taught. I will also want you to consider the following: 1. Who owns the Church of God, is it personal? 2. Pastors flashy livings and amassing wealth both naturally and fraudulently. 3. Church pastoral successions, is it family based(in todays contest) 4. Criminality in the church, who is to blame. 5. Is money the first basis for the church(Matt. 28:19/20 "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Lastly, my points is not that tithe must not be paid but the basic of fair play with accounting and wealth creation principle is what I am talking here and for pastors to stop using cursing words on their members.
