Look at religion #4 A religious spirit can also be a religious bully! -What do you do when confronted by a person who is flowing in a religious spirit, and wants you to fall in line with its condemning agenda? Religious bullies work through tactics like fear, manipulation, sarcasm, coercion, ridicule, cold shoulder, overreacting, blaming, using the word as a sledgehammer, verbal attacks, gossip etc. First step in breaking this cycle is; pray that the religious bully will be set free from the influence of this murdering spirit. Do not get too emotional when a religious bully confronts you- and do not automatically blame yourself. It is not necessarily your fault; you probably have done nothing wrong. Religious bullies have emotional problems of their own, so never engage at the emotional level. Clearly you are a threat to the religious spirit or you would not be a target. Do not give into a religious bullies intimidation. Do not even dignify the bullying with a response. That is what the religious spirit wants- it wants to trap you with words and make you look like the bad guy. The Pharisee tried this with Jesus but never worked! (john18:23). If you are reading this and you find out you are the BULLY! Repent and Quick.. Jesus has one word for you: Woe When we embrace the work of the cross it leaves no room for Religion or Jezebel.
