Look at the history of the jews they had no certain dwelling place all threw history trying to find land to live on always at war . Had were slaves to egyptains to romans . Looking for freedom needing a faith to hold onto for hope look to a supreme god to help them . Circled by many diffrent gods and nationalities. The oldtestament looks like a bunch of books written to bring hope to the jews. I cant see how it was written for rich western middle class men that are not even jews. How the heck can we even relate in the leaste way and why the hell would in bring hope to the biggest super power in the world seems so out of place you be the judge.
