Look, this is going to super-opinionated, and I apologize, but I feel very strongly about it. The term biopic is pronounced BUY-o-pick, not buy-OP-ic. It does not rhyme with the word myopic. Its derived from the English terms biographical motion picture. If you accent the first syllable, it sounds like, like myopic, its derived from Latin (granted, most English words have Latinate roots). So if myopic means near-sighted, biopic, pronounced in such a way that it rhymes with myopic, would work out to mean something like two-sighted or both sighted. Thats not what it means. Its a word with roots in Variety magazine, not Aristotle. In short, I hope youll bear all this in mind today when you cast your ballots and vote Kablack for Mayor of Pedantictown.
