Looking for advice and experience. I have a male, 50-ish pound, American Staffordshire Terrier/Chow/Bulldog/? mix who has a very wide chest. Im looking to get him a fleece jacket for an overnight hike in a couple of weeks to wear as needed but most likely when were sleeping. What have people found is the best option for their wide chested bully breeds/mixes? I love the Climate Changer from Ruffwear and the Chilly Sweater from Chilly Dogs, both look high quality and have good reviews. The adjustability of the Chilly Sweater looks ideal, but unfortunately even with the fastest shipping it could be 4 - 10 days before it arrives and hike is in a couple of weekends and with the holidays I worry it wouldnt arrive in time. The Climate Changer also looks high quality and easy on/off, but I fear that fit will be hard with my guy. Any other ideas? Ive look in stores around here, but most of the fleece coats I find our geared towards the weekend walkers and I want something durable. And just for reference, heres a picture of the goofy boy.
