Loose knives in a drawer can be a recipe for disaster, but sometimes a drawer is the only place you can store them. Heres how a reader, Lorie, solved this dilemma. She and her husband made their own magnetic knife block for their drawer. Lorie said, Here is my solution to having to keep knives in a drawer. My husband cut wood to measure between the side of the drawer and the length of the knife blades. Then sanded them down. I added adhesive magnetic strips, then used heavy duty adhesive back velcro to keep the blocks in place in the drawer. Works great! Looks great Lorie! How do you store your kitchen knives?
