Wake Up Everybody There Is Something Wrong In America Against the African American Race. NBA commissioner Adam Silver has addressed an audio recording purportedly of Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling making racist remarks, saying Saturday night that while the comments were truly offensive and disturbing, Sterling will be afforded due process. He also announced Sterling has agreed not to attend the Clippers first-round playoff game Sunday at Golden State. The commissioner refused to discuss possible sanctions, citing the leagues ongoing investigation. He said the NBA is hoping to resolve the matter quickly, possibly within days. He also noted he spoke with Clippers coach Doc Rivers and star Chris Paul, as well as Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson, who will be assisting the players association in addressing the situation. Silver said the investigation is focused on the current audio recording, not previous discrimination and racism accusations against Sterling. The NBA has broad powers in place that include a range of sanctions, and all of those will be considered, he said.
