"Lord, have mercy upon me, a sinner." In my mind, in my conscience, I understand that I am a sinner. I understand that everyday I fall venially. I am very imperfect. Nevertheless, I also understand that there is grace in knowing who I am before God. Although I am a sinner, God has placed a holy desire in my heart to be a saint, to be a man of God. This desire has been a great source of fortitude and patience in me during many trials and sufferings. It is the light of this holy desire that has shed light on my imperfections. My prayer is that God will continue to purify and perfect this sinner in His divine love. Lord, have mercy! Christ, have mercy! Lord, have mercy!
