Lord, today, as I am preparing for work, prepare me to be open to Your will. As I navigate the same roads I seem to take each day, make me mindful of complacency and direct my path toward new pursuits of Your heart. My mouth will utter many words today, let me be silent if my language cannot lift someone or bring them before your grace. Father, let my footsteps be of purpose and of principle. Knowing that yoking myself to Your kingdom may come with conflict and criticism, let my response be proper and resolved, acting out of confidence. Rise up, in me, a warrior seeking not battles for You, but with You, as my leader, into a world desperate for salvation and looking for others showing mere courage, admitting they dont have the answers, but knows who does!! Lastly Lord, thank You for those whom You have surrounded me, those possessing hearts unashamed to be brave , in Your name! Slowly, it has taken 45 years of life, for You, the Sculptor, to take this clay and form someone who is awakening to that which You have called me out to be. I can now say, courageously, I am seeking Your will and pray for guidance as I come fully to life, in a desire to affect the world. If statistics are to be valued, I have lived either short of or near half of my human life. There is a quickening now and sincerely I will say before others: I will not seek to pacify you by telling you what the world wants you to know, through my music nor my words. I will not waste time on things with no significance to the kingdom of God. Regretfully, I have lived the first half of my life for me, my remaining days will be lived pursuing, acknowledging and exalting the God who breathed life into me 45 years ago. I am eager to see what he has planned from here on out!!!
