Luke 21:24 “And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.” God has allowed the Gentiles (Arabs) to trample Jerusalem (Rom. 11:25) but He forewarns there is a day coming when He will evict them and all Jerusalem will be given back to the Jews. It’s scary that so many professing Christians do not believe the words of Jesus. They say that Israel and the Land of Israel is now irrelevant to God. Regarding the Church, the body of Christ, there is no dualism, no schism within it. In this text (and many places) the Nationhood of the Jewish people is recognized by God as something distinct from the Church, as pertaining to the fact that God is preserving them as a nation until “the times of the Gentiles is fulfilled” so that there will still be a secular Jewish nation in existence at the end when God promised to open their eyes and bring the fulfillment of the New Covenant. So it doesn’t mean that Jews are saved just bcos they are Jews, or that they are any better or any worse than anyone else, but in endtime prophecy there remains a dualism, that the Jewish nation is distinct from the Church until Messiah comes, and then we the Gentiles will be seen to be fully grafted into Israel. At present there is a natural Israel and a spiritual Israel (the Church) but the promise of God (in Romans) says that God’s ultimate plan is to bring both together as one in Christ. The spirit of antichrist opposes this truth like anything, cos ultimately the question of the Jews and Jerusalem is the ultimate dilemma for the human race, bcos satan MUST try and stop God’s promises to natural Israel from being fulfilled. That is his only “hope”. It’s amazing how few Christians have taken the time to read Romans 9-11 where the grand scope of God’s plan for both natural and spiritual Israel is mapped out. Many only engage the subject by reacting to certain errors and false teachings on the subject, instead of objectively looking at Romans 9-11. ~ ianvincent.wordpress/
