Luke 9:62;Jesus replied, No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of GOD. People backslide because of what theyre pursuing. Just like the Israelites who did not make it into the promised land; They were the ones Acts 7:39 says,AND IN THEIR HEARTS TURNED BACK TO EGYPT. Hebrews 3:10&11, That is why I was angry with that generation; I said, Their hearts are always going astray, and they have not known MY Ways. 11 So I declared an oath in MY Anger,THEY SHALL NEVER ENTER MY REST. History has it that the Israelites wandered in the wilderness, (not fully going back, and not able to forge forward either because of their unbelief.), and that generation NEVER entered the promised land. Mark 4:19, they heard the word, but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful. #EGYPT IS THE CARES OF THIS LIFE. Those who made it into the promised land, and beyond that, entered the REST OF GOD are those Hebrews 11:15&16 says,if they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. 16 Instead, they were longing for a better country—a Heavenly one. Therefore GOD is not ashamed to be called their GOD, for HE has prepared a city for them. #Those who are earthly minded, even in the name of GOD, are sure to shipwreck. #but No One who is truly Kingdom minded can be earthly useless.
